Gabriel Carriere of the Wichita Thunder has been named the Warrior Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week for his outstanding performances from October 28 to November 3.

In two games against Rapid City, Carriere achieved a perfect record of 2-0-0, including a shutout, with an impressive goals-against average of 0.49 and a save percentage of .987.

His standout performance included 39 saves in a 2-1 overtime win and a flawless 38 saves in a 3-0 victory, marking his first professional shutout.

The Rapid City Rush faced a tough defeat against the Wichita Thunder, losing 3-0 in their final game of the series. Jay Dickman made a significant impact by scoring a power play goal early and sealing the game with an empty netter. Despite outshooting the Thunder, the Rush struggled to find the back of the net, marking their first shutout of the season.

Wichita's Gabriel Carriere excelled in goal, achieving a 38-save shutout. This loss also signifies only the second time the Rush has been swept in a three-game series at Wichita in six seasons, with the last incident occurring in December 2022.

Wichita Thunder secured a convincing 6-2 victory over the Tulsa Oilers in Oklahoma, marking a strong start to their road trip. Michal Stinil and Ryan Finnegan each scored two goals, while Kobe Walker contributed with three points. Stinil's early goals set the tone, and Gabriel Carriere made 30 saves for his first regulation win.

Despite a brief response from Jaxsen Wiebe, Wichita maintained control, with Finnegan and Nico Somerville extending the lead. The Thunder's offensive depth was evident as multiple players contributed to the scoring, showcasing their strong start to the season.
